Key Meeting in Lausanne for 2018 Olympic Winter Games Candidate Cities

Munich, Annecy and Pyeong Chang present their bids to IOC members.

Host city for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games – that’s the prize awaiting one of the three candidate cities , Munich (Germany), Annecy (France) and Pyeong Chang (South Korea), as they make for the first time their presentations to members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on 18 May 2011 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

This technical briefing is one of the most crucial opportunities for candidates to make their case to IOC members, until the IOC Session in Durban, on 6 July 2011, when the 2018 Host City will be elected.

An Evaluation Commission has visited the cities already - but at this key get-to-know meeting, IOC members will be able to put their questions directly to the candidate cities. It’s the cities' penultimate examination before their final presentation ahead of the vote in Durban.

This video news release includes:
- an interview with IOC President Jacques Rogge, in English and in French.
- polished presentation videos from the three cities.
